The Graduate Student Facilities Fee 20276 is a self imposed fee on graduate students, enacted in 1997 to support the construction, operations and maintenance of the Graduate Student Commons. This fee is currently $32 per student per quarter and is scheduled to sunset in 2027.

The Graduate Student Commons was built with borrowed capital and was refinanced into a campus bond. The mortgage payment ~$48K is made first, then 30% of projected fee revenue is paid to the plant reserve ~$39K, while the remaining balance of the student fee roughly $88K covers the GSC operating expenses such as facility maintenance, utilities (water, gas and electricity) and staff salaries and benefits.

To learn more about student fees click on the Dean of Students Enacted Referendum website. Some or all instruction for all or part of the Academic Year may be delivered remotely.  Tuition and fees have been set regardless of the method of instruction and will not be refunded in the event instruction occurs remotely for any part of the Academic Year.  Figures for tuition and fees represent currently approved or proposed amounts and may not be final.  Actual tuition and fees are subject to change by the University of California as determined to be necessary or appropriate.  Final approved tuition and fee levels may differ from the amounts presented.
